Signs Your Strips Need Replacing
- Yellowing or discolouration — UV degradation; indicates material breakdown

What Reduces PVC Strip Lifespan?
UV Exposure
The biggest cause of premature degradation. UV light breaks down PVC plasticisers, causing yellowing and brittleness. Outdoor and window-adjacent strips degrade fastest. Use UV-stabilised PVC grades for external applications.
Sub-Zero Temperatures
Standard PVC becomes brittle below -5°C. Always use polar-grade PVC in cold room and freezer applications.
Chemical Exposure
Aggressive cleaning agents and solvents extract plasticisers, causing stiffening. Use only compatible cleaning agents.
