High water volume, cleaning chemical exposure, repeated large vehicle impact and significant temperature differentials all test strip curtain systems to their limits.

- Width: 300mm for vehicle access
- Chemical resistance: standard PVC handles most wash bay chemicals well
- Water resistance: PVC is inherently waterproof — no special specification required

Automated Car Wash: Entry/Exit & Inter-Stage Curtains
Automated drive-through tunnels need: entry and exit curtains to contain water and soap within the tunnel, inter-stage curtains to separate washing, rinsing, wax and drying zones. Standard hook-on PVC strip systems work well provided thickness and overlap are appropriate.
HGV & Commercial Vehicle Wash Bays
HGV bays require even more robust specifications: wider openings (4–6m), greater vehicle height, heavier impact, and more concentrated degreasing chemicals. 5mm ribbed PVC strips with swivel hinge rail systems are strongly recommended.
