Specification for Pharmaceutical Use
- Strip material: Low-outgassing food-grade PVC with documented VOC emission data
- Anti-static: Mandatory for Grade C/D areas
- Anti-microbial: Specified for Grade C/D areas and microbiological risk zones
- Surface: Smooth surface only — ribbed profiles harbour particles
- Rail: Stainless steel, smooth-bore; electropolished preferred in Grade C and above
Qualification Requirements (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Strip curtain installations in classified areas should be qualified: IQ verifies specification compliance; OQ verifies pressure differential performance; PQ verifies particle count compliance during representative operations.
Change Control and Documentation
Any change to the specification requires formal change control. Maintain: certificates of conformity, material data sheets, food-grade and anti-static test certificates, installation records, cleaning/maintenance records, and a strip replacement log.
