Anti-Microbial PVC Rolls (50m)

High quality 50m anti-microbial PVC rolls. A necessity in environments where hygiene standards must be maintained. Helps prevent the growth of bacteria, mould and fungus. Ideal for hospitals, cleanrooms and the food manufacturing industry. Fully see through, but has slight pink / magenta tint to distinguish it from regular PVC. Hard wearing and long lasting. ALL SIZES NOMINAL.

A more specialist PVC for customers looking for an increased level of curtain hygiene – especially in areas of high traffic where the PVC could be exposed to multiple foreign bodies and/or contaminants. Thermal and noise retention properties remain unaffected, so the PVC is just as effective at retaining heat and providing energy savings. Silver ions, well known for their anti-microbial properties, are added to the PVC formula at the manufacturing stage, giving resistance to bacteria, mould and fungus (e.g. E-Coli, salmonella and MRSA). Suitable for use with all recognised curtain hanging systems,  is ideally suited for uses in light pedestrian areas.

Longevity: PVC strip is considered a consumable product. How fast it’s consumed is beyond any manufacturer’s or supplier’s control. Its lifespan will be dictated by where it’s used, what type of traffic might move through it and how carefully (or aggressively) such traffic does so. To help maximise its working life, we always recommend that PVC curtains are fitted internally behind doors or openings that can provide a degree of shelter. If they’re fitted outside of a doorway or building, fully exposed to the elements all day and night, they can deteriorate and/or lose clarity more quickly. The rate of this will depend entirely on the severity of the local weather. We have some customers who replace their PVC annually… others who’ve had the same for many, many years.
