How is a swivel hinge rail different from a standard hook-on rail?

A standard hook-on rail holds each strip at a fixed point — the strip flexes and bends when impacted. A swivel hinge rail mounts each strip on a bearing or pivot fitting that allows the strip to rotate around a vertical axis on contact. The strip swings clear of the load, then returns to position under gravity. This eliminates the bending stress at the strip-to-rail junction that causes tearing in high-impact environments, significantly extending strip service life.

What is the maximum opening width for a swivel hinge rail system?

Swivel hinge rails can cover openings of any width. For very wide openings (typically above 5m), two rail sections are mounted end-to-end. Each section can be specified independently with different lengths to suit your exact opening width.
