⚠️ Important: Polargrade freezer PVC should only be used in sub-zero locations. In warmer environments, the extra plasticiser can make the PVC feel 'sticky', making curtains more difficult to pass through. Use standard PVC for temperatures above 0°C.

During manufacturing, a special plasticiser formula is processed into the strip, meaning it remains flexible and resists cracking down to –24°C. This is essential for cold rooms, freezers, and refrigerated warehouses where standard PVC would become brittle and fail, potentially causing safety hazards and energy loss.

Why Not Use in Warm Environments: In warmer environments (above 0°C), the extra plasticiser in the production formula can make the PVC feel 'sticky', which can make curtains more difficult to pass through. For standard temperature environments, use our regular clear PVC strip which is optimized for 0°C to +40°C conditions.

Visual Identification: The PVC has a slightly different tint to help distinguish it from standard PVC product, making it easy to identify the correct material for your freezer applications. Despite the tint, it still has excellent see-through qualities and allows light to pass through with minimum distortion, maintaining safety for pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
